The performances are ideally combined with the joint project “Splendur e sumbriva - light and shadow in the Engadin”, a joint exhibition of 14 Engadin museums, studios and archives between Zuoz and Maloja, St. Moritz and Pontresina. The project promises visitors a unique immersive experience that conveys the beauty and dynamics of the Alpine landscape in a new, artistic way.

Hans Koch - clarinet, soprano saxophone and guest musician tbc

After completing his classical music studies at the conservatories in Biel and Zurich and an initial career as an orchestral musician, he has played with musicians such as Werner Lüdi, Cecil Taylor, Fred Frith, Paul Lovens, Louis Sclavis, Evan Parker, Barry Guy, Barre Phillips, Joëlle Léandre, Paul Bley, Jim O'Rourke and Butch Morris since 1981. As a composer, he shaped the independent sound of the well-known Koch-Schütz-Studer trio from the very beginning, which filmmaker Peter Liechti portrayed in his film Hardcore Chambermusic. He has also composed music for radio plays and films.

Koch is one of the most innovative improvising woodwind players in Europe. In 1985 he was awarded the prize for best soloist at the Lugano Jazz Festival.
